Business Administration (Bachelor of Arts)

The Business Administration (Bachelor of Arts) traineeship

is a dual-study position. This dual-study opportunity is carried out through in-house training at the company and at the Berufsakademie Emsland in Lingen. 

During the company-based phase of the programme, the trainee/student spends time in the following departments:

  • Purchasing/inventory control, 
  • Goods reception and goods inspection
  • Stock management and human resources
  • Sales, key accounts and logistics
  • Accounting, auditing and payment services
  • Business accounting and controlling

School leaver admission requirements:

Admission requirements for the dual study Business Management (BA) are the German University-Entrance Diploma (Abitur) or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification. 


Training period: 
The dual-study programme lasts for three years. 


In-house teaching:
In addition to the internal and external support measures, as part of the teaching schedule, training also covers our quality and management systems. 


Study and training period:
The course is divided into a theoretical part, which takes place at the Berufsakademie, and a practical part, which takes place in the company. In accordance with the Vocational Training Act and as part of their skilled training, during the course, the student will take an external industrial clerk examination at the competent chamber.

The training period is three years, but can be shortened due to good performance.

Vocational training college:
Vocational training college classes are held on a weekly basis at Berufsschule Bersenbrück.

IT Specialist

Specialisation in system integration/application development
Training as an IT specialist in
system integration/application development is a recognised, skilled occupation. Vocational training takes place in-house at the company and at vocational training college.

Course description:

IT specialists who specialise in system integration/application development create information and communication solutions. They do this by networking hardware and software components to form complex systems. They create system documentation and provide user training. When errors occur, they are systematically limited and remedied using modern expert and diagnostic systems. 

 

School leaver admission requirements:

Entry requirements for H. Kemper GmbH & Co. KG are the General Certificate of Secondary Education and completion of vocational business school for assistant professions (business IT) or the professional German University-Entrance Diploma (Abitur). 

 

Training duration:

The training period is three years.

Food Technology Specialist (m/w)

The future food technology specialist learns about all the important areas of industrial operations, including:

Specialising in delicatessen and preserved foods

A butcher learns about all the areas that are key to his/her profession. 

Among others, the following areas are covered:

  • Dissection and preparation of slaughtered animals
  • Evaluation of meat products
  • Manufacture of different types of sausages

Mechatronics Technician

Training as a mechatronics technician is a recognised, skilled occupation. Training takes place in-house at the company and at vocational training college. Under certain conditions, it may be possible to complete the training period in a shorter time period. The examining body is the competent chamber of commerce and industry. 

The following course content provides an example of what is covered during training: 

  • Planning and control of work processes
  • Checking and measuring of component parts
  • Manual and mechanical machining of component parts
  • Assembly of modules and components for machinery and systems
  • Making and testing of work tools, testing and measuring equipment
  • Programming, testing and setting of mechatronics systems
  • Determination of causes of errors and quality defects

The training period is three-and-a-half years.

A mechatronics technician can gain further qualifications and specialisation opportunities through the study of subjects such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, business administration, etc. A mechatronics technician can also, through appropriate professional practise, qualify as an industrial foreman.
