Nortrup. Together with members of the working group on economy, work and traffic, SPD party and state parliament member Kathrin Wahlmann paid Kemper a visit in Nortrup.
Wahlmann learned that the company, now in its fifth generation, has around 1,450 employees and is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of raw sausage, ham, boiled sausage, cooked sausage and ready-to-eat products. The SPD politicians from Lower Saxon were delighted by the scale of the company's production and distribution: Every year, more than 90,000 tons of food leave the five highly automated production sites in Nortrup and Cloppenburg. The company's largest domestic corporate customers include supermarkets such as Aldi and Lidl. Kemper products are also exported to 20 other European countries.
