Health comes first: Workers who commute to work by bike are fitter in the long term and enjoy a fresher start to their shifts compared toRead moretheir car-driving colleagues. These positive effects are the basis of the 'cycling to work' campaign. From now until 31 August, all employees in the Osnabrück region and its surrounding area are being called upon to travel to work at least twenty times by bicycle. Kemper, a company based in Nortrup supports this action, with Works Council Chairman Werner Lager as its patron. "Well over 160 of our 1,000 employees have been commuting to work by bike for a long time, and not just those travelling short distances", praised Werner Lager: "Health at work is our goal - double-shift operations can be very stressful." Kemper offers its employees the opportunity to lease cheap bicycles or even e-bikes, adds Kai Brinkmann, a representative of the company's HR team.
Gym and trainee sports day
Employees can also take advantage of the company's agreement with a gym and, upon request, can even enjoy consultations in the workplace. As part of the 'Kemperfit' programme, a trainee sports day is held in cooperation with AOK health insurance.
