On the night of 13 to 14 September, the Transrapid 09 will embark on its final journey from its current location in Lathen in Emsland to its new home at Kemper in Nortrup.
The Transrapid will begin its journey on three low-loaders on Wednesday, 13 September, at around 10:00 pm in Lathen. The loading is set to begin at 8:00 pm, announced sausage manufacturer Kemper in a press release. The convoy will then set off via the A31 for Lingen, where it is scheduled to arrive around midnight. A police escort will accompany the heavy load from Lingen to Nortrup. The Transrapid is expected to arrive at the grounds of the meat processor at two in the morning. At 6:00 am, unloading and assembly of the maglev train in its new location will begin.
