Sausages and Ham

Culinary diversity and balanced nutrition

Today, sausages and ham products are an indispensable part of the daily diet.
In Germany, per capita consumption is well over 30 kg per year. About two-thirds of all Germans eat sausages almost every day. In view of this huge range of different types and varieties, Germany is the undisputed world champion of sausages, with more than 1,500 different kinds.

It is impossible to know each of the 1,500+ different sausage varieties. However, they can easily be divided into four large groups. Depending on the production type, a distinction is made between raw sausage, boiled sausage, ham and cooked sausage.

ince 2006, at Kemper these four large groups have been expanded by the addition of a new group. It came about through the development and production of fresh ready-to-eat food products.

Sausage and meat products are very important for a healthy, balanced diet. They provide high quality protein, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. In particular, low-fat varieties boast high nutrient density and low energy content. Animal protein is also easier for the body to use than plant proteins. This means sausage and meat products offer a significant nutritional contribution.

Whether individual or customer-specific concepts and product solutions for the sausage shelf or service counter, at Kemper we take into account the latest nutritional trends when creating our product lines to ensure we always fulfil today's customer requirements. That's why our range includes low-fat 'light' products, pure-poultry products and a selection of locally-sourced products. Experience unique moments of gourmet pleasure with our products.
